Look TJordi Panareda (Circ Pànic)Past

A large scale standing in the middle of the track… MiraT, a game of crossed glances. At the same time introspective and open to the other. From you to him and from him to you. Look at yourself, confront yourself with your own loneliness, make the decision to take this personal journey and transcribe it on the track. MiraT, an invitation to look at yourself without self-complacency, but also without arrogance, with humor and self-mockery. In a constant search for balance, oscillating, spinning, dancing. MiraT wants to be an invitation to reflect on the fragile condition of the human being, a proposal to reflect on the illusory balance of life in which each of us, at any moment, can find ourselves in an extreme situation. On the track, a man and a large scale. Playing with checks and balances, he embarks on a journey in constant search of the limits of balance. This journey through the geometry of the structure is also interior and therefore symbolic. It is about looking at yourself and also exposing yourself to the gaze of others. Look at your own loneliness and transcend it by exposing it in the middle of the track. A symbolic journey in which each of us will be able to recognize ourselves, a reflection on what it means to make an important decision, a decision that can change your life. Some leave their place of origin to venture into unknown lands, others take refuge, hiding from society itself. Beings adrift, in search of a place that can be theirs, people full of fear and hope, resignation and hope. Each one with its internal balance that oscillates between one feeling and another.

El Gran Final Bucraa Circus

The big endBucraa CircusPast

A clown and gestural theater show that immerses us in a past and particular world, due to its aesthetics and poetic beauty, and captivates us with the capacity for play and improvisation of its characters, a story of love and war crowned by a “Great Final” that cannot be revealed, and that must be lived! “The Grand Finale” is a tragicomedy that bases its essence on the reunion of two clowns, who had to separate many years ago as a result of the outbreak of a civil war. This war interrupts their last performance just before their big final act. The conflict forces them to go their separate ways and never have contact with each other again. Now, after more than 30 years, infinite steps, a daily and constant fight for survival, and an aging body, they meet again and decide to finish their “Grand Finale.” A tribute to one of the most beautiful and generous professions in the world. The job of being a clown. Feel, to create a dialogue with the viewer from emotions, where words are unnecessary. A collective imagination that clowns of all times have left in our memory.

ClassisccapellaB VowelPast

Classicappella is an amazing journey through the most famous themes of classical music from the hand of our wise man “Leonardo”, who will tell us about his fun adventures throughout Europe, meeting the composers who gave life to the works that have marked the history of music. Come meet Bach, Handel, Mozart, Beethoven and many other musicians who will tell us fun anecdotes about their lives and how they composed these fantastic works. We will walk in a different way through curiosities and humor, and we will see how classical music works inside. You will also discover the culture and customs of the different countries we visit. Without forgetting the most important thing, we will show you all the works as you have never heard them before, a cappella! That is, using only the most perfect instrument that exists, the VOICE! Learn to recognize the different tessituras that human beings have: the tenor, the baritone, the bass or even the countertenor. Voices that can replicate the sound of a full orchestra or imitate the sound of a baroque pipe organ, and of course, sing the most famous choruses.

Two actors, Arantxa and Lobo, meet in a haystack to carry out a dream: create a play that does poetic justice to the author of Fuente Vaqueros. This task would be easy if it were not for the fact that the beauty of his verses is such that it seems that no representation of his work could live up to it. After all... How do you bring the smell of the sea to the theater or how do you flood the stalls with stars? Through this interactive comedy, together they will discover Lorca's radiant personality, his most playful pieces, they will take the audience to a party and, if they do it really well, the author himself may appear to give them a surprise.

La Tomasa, whose name bears a great resemblance to that of the protagonist of a well-known poem by García Lorca, stars in this small-format scenic proposal that with its little steps forward and its little steps backwards gracefully weaves rhythms and rhymes born from the reunion of the word with music and movement. This proposal, where the new and the old go hand in hand, recreates the poetics coming from oral tradition, experimentally mixing stage language, music, contemporary dance, and Hip Hop. A show for small audiences, with dramaturgy by Roser Ros and the artistic direction of the urban dance company Brodas Bros.

THE CELESTINEPractical Theater BackstagePast

For some reason that I have barely thought of, I tend to be interested in works that are difficult to represent. I sense that the puppets I handle must have something to do with this. In that first moment in which you wait for some breath to make your skin crawl so that it acquires signal value, in recent years, I return to what once moved me and I ruled out addressing it due to insecurity. I must find myself in a particularly reckless moment because a good dose of risk is necessary to venture into La Celestina by Fernando de Rojas; for its literary immensity, for its historical relevance, for its complexity and linguistic richness and, especially, for the sublime humanistic stroke with which the author draws his characters. The world belongs to the daring. The choice of La Celestina could have responded to the need to find a source of inspiration that would fuel a creation in which to address some more personal unrest. But it hasn't been exactly like that. I do not feel that I want to offer my work but that of another, but in the process of reading, understanding and recreating it I end up convinced that this work is completely mine and this gives me a joyful feeling of brotherhood with the one who gave birth to it more than five hundred years ago. The poison of the theater. I didn't remember this work like that, so dense and intricate. Nor did I remember his philosophical subtlety, his intellectual vividness. I didn't know that everything, in essence, remains the same five hundred years later. That universal drive that is matched with a hundred stage moments by other great universal playwrights. Life is understood by writing in it. I have made my cloak into a tunic. I have had to dare to recompose what is said in the work, letting my theatrical sense flow, guided by that puppeteer's sense that tends to substantiate the grotesque now and the sublime later to finish off with a good blow. The puppet synthesizes the representation. And finally, I would like to say that as I rethink what the characters say and how they say it, countless childhood impressions come to life in me in that town of mine full of people whose hidden hearts beat to the tune of identical passions and animosities. I marvel. Jaume Policarpo, director.

PRAGUE, 1941. YOUNG BLONDES STOP SCREAMING IN FRONT OF MY HOUSELaJovenPast

Television reports that the shuttle “Columbia” has suffered an accident while returning to earth after a lunar expedition. In the news there is a drawing that one of the astronauts had brought: the terrestrial globe seen from space. Daniel, a boy who lives in Prague, recognizes the drawing and believes that there are several similar ones in his father's storage room. Indeed, there he finds a box with prints and notebooks signed by a certain Petr Ginz. Petr was a boy who probably lived in that house in 1941 when the Nazis occupied the city. Daniel, who is the same age as Petr, reads in disbelief what life was like on the streets he walks through. The voices of the two boys begin to merge and the boundaries between the present and the past seem increasingly blurred. Daniel wonders what to do with the testimony he has found by chance, whether there will be any survivors of that Jewish family to whom he can give Petr's belongings, or how to preserve that piece of history.

ThreadsLa RousPast

We come into the world united by the umbilical cord that intertwines us in a unique way with our mother, but what happens next with that thread? The cord is cut at birth, but the bond that is created between both parties, like an invisible thread, remains alive. I tell you about the story of my mother, a woman full of life, who gave birth to fourteen children linked to her by a thread. I tell you about the threads of her braids as a child and the threads frayed by time. Of the transparent threads that inextricably linked her to her family. Of the threads she created between her and her children, of the legacy she left each of us to be able to weave our own.
