LOS PODERES PÚBLICOS PROMOVERÁN Y TUTELARÁN EL ACCESO A LA CULTURA, A LA QUE TODOS TIENEN DERECHO”
Article 44 of the Spanish Constitution
Mission
The project's mission is to create a circuit that promotes and encourages the mobility of shows aimed at school audiences, that promotes social cohesion in the territory and that is capable of raising awareness of the importance of including the performing arts as an educational value within the curricular projects of schools. It also aims to contribute to transforming the exhibition model, encouraging participation and the relationship between the audience, the performing arts venues, promoters, the educational community and the professional community.
The Performing Arts Circuit for School Audiences proposes to develop the circuit around three areas of work:
- Exhibition
- Mediation
- Audience development
Each of these areas is related to each other in order to compose a proposal that is as complete and global as possible. The work of mediation and audience development that the project proposes, in addition to the exhibition, will allow the creation of stronger links between the different agents involved in a school programme and will contribute to its maintenance over time.
Addressees
The circuit aims to reach and link together the variety of actors that are, or should be, involved in school programming:
Children's Community
Children and young people are the main target of the project. All actions and artistic creation are ultimately aimed at providing them with quality artistic experiences.
Educational community
In addition to the pupils, we intend to address teachers, to raise awareness of the importance of the artistic experience and culture and how this should have a greater presence inside and outside the classroom. Educational centres are the spaces that make possible, among other things, that the right of access to culture can be given in an egalitarian way.
Artistic and professional community
We aim to help venues to relate to their audiences of children and young people and to develop stable and quality programmes, but also to relate to creators and other agents of civil society by promoting the figure of the mediator.
In addition to the exhibition of their artistic proposals, we propose that the companies and creators participate through training and mediation activities.
It is about connecting the creation with its audience from other places besides the exhibition.
