1957. We are in Moscow. In the middle of the Cold War and at the height of the space race. The Soviet Union is preparing, for the first time, to send an animal into outer space... This is the story of Laika, a dog that survives on the streets of the frozen city of Moscow. Little does she imagine that her destiny will take her to space on the Sputnik II ship and she will go down in the history of humanity as the first living being to orbit the Earth. Xirriquiteula Teatre uses, in this show, techniques as varied as rear projections, collage, puppets, automatons and gesture.
