In recent years, ASSITEJ Spain has carried out a review of the lines of work and proposed an ambitious sectoral articulation plan that allows the integration of the different agents and entities involved, for the construction of a shared horizon towards which to move forward. joint.
Thanks to the experience acquired in the coordination of AUDACES. State Circuit of performing arts for school audiences, from ASSITEJ we launch the ASSITEJ Circuit that complements and completes Audaces.
In this context, the ASSITEJ Circuit opens the call for presentations of shows for its first edition.
The aim is to create a circuit of performing arts for children and youth that is stable, sustainable and of quality; encouraging the creation of ambitious programs that contribute to the improvement of the professional sector.
Within the programming, the circuit seeks to promote public service work, mediation and audience development.
Thus, the creation of a stable circuit with a transformative perspective as proposed will contribute to the development of the performing arts sector, expanding the programming of quality professional shows, but at the same time allowing and promoting relationships between agents, activities, actions and programs. mediation and audience development work beyond the exhibition.
Requirements to participate as a company:
- Be a professional entity with legal personality to sign contracts.
- Have produced and premiered at least 3 shows aimed at children or youth audiences, or that have an accredited track record in this regard.
- Attach documentation required in the call.
How to register proposals:
Register as a company on the website https://circuito.assitej.es
Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email and will be able to register your show.
The presentation of only one show per company is allowed.
From the SHOW REGISTRATION section you must fill out the required information.
IMPORTANT: It is essential, to evaluate the show, to have a link to a complete video of it. We recommend the use of videos uploaded to an online viewing platform. File transfer and download systems are not valid. Only videos for online viewing will be judged.
Sending documentation to the ASSITEJ office will not be accepted.
Evaluation criteria:
- Artistic quality of the shows presented
- Present a proposal that includes, in addition to the exhibition, mediation activities and audience work (colloquiums, workshops, activities, actions in the territory, etc.)
- Quality of the pedagogical material presented
- Accessibility and attention to diversity.
- Gender perspective.
Company commitment:
- Submit an evaluation at the end of the circuit. The evaluation model will be provided by ASSITEJ.
- Provide the pedagogical and advertising material that is required.
- Contribute to the dissemination of the circuit both on the company's website and social networks.
- Include the ASSITEJ Circuit logo in your graphic material.
- Provide documentation required during the circuit.
Show evaluation commission.
An independent technical evaluation commission will be created made up of professionals of recognized prestige in the sector, which will be in charge of selecting the shows that will be part of the circuit.
The commission will ensure that the proposals present:
- Plurality and balance of formats.
- Plurality and balance of representation spaces.
- Plurality and balance of styles.
- Plurality and balance of audiences to whom the performance proposal is directed.
- Pay attention to gender diversity.
- Presentation of activities parallel to the performance aimed at facilitating the creation of audiences.
*Although it will not be decisive, nor is it a requirement, companies that are members of ASSITEJ, or other professional sector entities, will be valued as an incentive to work together.
Execution period:
The ASSITEJ Circuit execution period will take place between September 1 and December 31, 2022.
The realization of the ASSITEJ Circuit is subject to the approval, by the INAEM, of the aid requested by ASSITEJ Spain for this purpose.
